Clash Of Clans Update Hitting Soon: What We Know About Lava Hound, Dark Barracks, Archer Towers And Quest Missions; Resource Boosts!

Well, it looks like Supercell has revealed all it will regarding the forthcoming update to Clash of Clans. Let's take a look at what is, and in some cases, is not coming to one of the world's most popular mobile games.

Clashers! Meet Your New Pet: The Lava Hound

Firstly, everyone is excited about the new level upgrade to the Dark Barracks. The building now has a maximum level of 6. Be prepared to wait, though, or at least pay green gems out the wazoo. I'm sure it will cost a ton. Have you considered learning a new language while you wait?

Along with the new Dark Barracks comes a new Dark Barracks unit: the Lava Hound. I am not sure how a bulky looking thing like that can fly with such tiny looking wings, but if it works for the creatures in How To Train Your Dragon, then it can most certainly work here. The Hound was teased out over a number of days. Your air attacks will now be an effective, and for the the time being, surprising affairs. What will you do with the big fiery puppies?

Dragon Quest Launches On Mobile Platforms

The other units and towers getting an upgrade include: Barbarians and Archers, those mainstays of battle, will now be upgradeable to level 7. Archer Towers are getting increased to level 13, which when you think about it is just an escalation of force. They get flying fire dogs, you get stronger turrets. Where does it end?

The update hits soon, either this weekend or early next week and in honor of that, you can boost all of your resource producers (gold mines, elixir and dark elixir collectors) can be boosted for the low, low cost of 1 gem. Even I paid that, and I'm stingy with the green gems. My therapist said to learn patience, and I think it's working.

We want to hear from you: what do you think of the changes coming to Clash of Clans and what else would you like to see come to the game? Tell us in the comments below!
