Tanki Online Offers Weekend-Long Sale For Tanker's Day, New Video Explains Changes In Speed Ups And New Smart Cooldowns

Tanker's Day Means A Weekend Of Cheap Gear For Tanki Online Players

In Russia, the second Sunday in September is Tanker's Day, a celebration of Russian servicemen who fought against Nazi Germany during World War II. Not one to let such an appropriately named holiday go to waste, Tanki Online is celebrating Tanker's Day for the entire weekend, offering players across-the-board sales for tank supplies.

Though the actual holiday doesn't get here until Sunday, the festivities have already started for developer AlternativaPlatform, and they continue all weekend with different half-off sales each day. On Friday, all paints, supplies and passes are on sale for 50 percent off. Tank hulls go half-off on Saturday, and Sunday brings a sale on turrets. Note that the windows for these days are determined using Coordinated Universal Time, so sales will be switching out every evening around 9 p.m. EDT.

Also throughout this weekend, a special paint will be available to celebrate the holiday, and crystals gained from gold boxes will be doubled.

Tanki Online Made Its Gamescom Debut And Revealed An In-Progress Unity Port

The Tanki Online team released a video today detailing the weekend-long events while also explaining a few new changes in gameplay. Smart cooldowns are a new way for tankers to manage their supplies during matches, and this mechanic is broken down during the video. The video also announced an upcoming change for upgrade speed ups. While waiting for an upgrade to install, the crystal cost of speeding up the process will now decrease as the upgrade gets closer and closer to completion.

Tanki Online is available to play in your browser. A Unity port that aims to provide cross-platform play is also in the works.
