New Guardian Cross Update Adds New Areas To The Game, Helps Noobs Get On Their Feet More Quickly

Square Enix's free-to-play mobile card game Guardian Cross will be celebrating the second anniversary of its release on Saturday. Just in time for the festivities, Square Enix announced a new update that adds new areas and support for rookie players to the already successful iOS game.

The update is introducing the all-new Skyborne Coliseum, which allows players to face off against each other while rising through the ranks. Only the best players will be able to make it to the top of this new Coliseum where powerful enemies stand in the way between the player and wonderful prizes.

Guardian Cross is available for both iOS and Android players, but this recent update is currently only live for iPhone and iPad users.

The update is also adding a new hunting ground for more experienced players that's filled with new Ultra-Rare Guardians and powerful abilities. This new update isn't just for the experienced players, though. Guardian Cross now includes a program to try to smooth out the barrier of entry and get new players on their feet more quickly.

The Newcomer Tamer Support Program will help new iOS players by granting them a handful of items after completing the tutorial and increasing the spawn rate of Ultra-Rare Guardians for the first week after setting up an account. So for all players who have been wondering about whether or not to get into Guardian Cross, it's helpful to know that you won't be completely steamrolled by veterans upon loading up the game for the first time.

Guardian Cross is free-to-play for iOS and Android devices.
