Final Dark Souls 2 DLC Crown Of The Ivory King Pushed Back On All Consoles Until Next Week; Bandai Releases New Screens Of A Bleak World [SCREENS]

Dark Souls 2 DLC Crown Of The Ivory King Delayed Until Next Week

Bandai Namco is reporting that the third and final DLC for Dark Souls II, titled Crown of the Ivory King, has been delayed slightly.

The Order 1886 Gets All Anachronistic On You

The DLC pack was originally scheduled to hit on Wednesday, September 24, but will now be making its debut across all platforms next Tuesday, September 30 for Xbox Live and PC. PlayStation Network gamers will get it Wednesday, October 1. No reason for the delay was given, though final polishing can easily be assumed.

Crown of the Ivory King is the last in the three part storyline that features the player hunting for powerful, ancient crowns. The first two packs, Crown of the Sunken King and Crown of the Old Iron King were released towards the end of July and August respectively and were met with great acclaim. Because people love abusing themselves; it makes the victory that much sweeter.

Assassin's Creed Unity Will Offer Up A European Sized Slab Of Content

Ivory King sends players to arctic desolation, of cold and storms and ice and, oh yes, monsters. The DLC aims to be the most difficult yet in the game which, considering the game it comes from, is certainly saying something. There is a stark beauty to the recently released screenshots: something about the utter bleakness of an endless field of snow is haunting, and fits perfectly within the game.

The new DLC also adds 'followers', which are computer controlled party members, or as I like to call them "cannon fodder" who will make encounters just a little less difficult. You can slowly gain more and more as the game progresses.

Be ready first thing next week. The Crown of the Ivory King awaits.
