NYCC 2014: Square Enix Reveals New 'Batman Arkham Origins' Deathstroke Limited Edition Collectible Figure

Deathstroke Gets The NYCC 2014 Limited Edition Action Figure Makeover

One does not normally think of Batman, the darkest of knights, and Square Enix, who creates the least Final of Fantasies, to exist within the same Venn diagram. Oh but they do, and that Venn diagram brings you some amazing, ridiculous products, the latest of which is a new, exclusive Batman: Arkham Origins Deathstroke figure.

Batman's SDCC Figure Is Some Kind Of Final Fantasy Summon

The figure is a New York Comic Con 2014 limited edition. Only 1000 will be made, 500 available at Square Enix's booth (#1813) and 500 available for order online via the official site.

While Deathstroke may be better known these days as Oliver Queen's antagonist on the CW show, Arrow, he began his life as a master soldier where his powers often went up against The Teen Titans. Yes. Deathstroke THE TERMINATOR, as he is known, was created for the teen audience. Sounds about right, if you think about. Manu Bennet absolutely nails the character in his Arrow incarnation, which will begin its third season soon.

Tyrion Lannister Gets The Model Treatment

For the figure itself, "Square Enix recreated the nimbleness of Deathstroke to the utmost by incorporating flexible material in his shoulders and ankles to enable a wide range of motion. The paintwork features realistic weathering and chips on his armor, to imply the countless battles he has fought as an assassin." The figure also comes equipped with a small aresonal of weapons, including a hand gun, a club, a sword, and a rifle along with corresponding interchangeable hands, as befits a soldier of such legendary prowess (in a Marvel/DC crossover event, Deathstroke and Wolverine fought to a standstill).

The limited edition figure will retail for $99.99. Get them while you can!
