Minecraft Patch Notes: PS4, Xbox One Editions Get Bug Fixes, Updates For World Saves And Save Transfers

Minecraft console developer 4J Studios announced over Twitter today that a new patch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the game is currently in testing, a patch that should fix many of the launch bugs in the two next-gen ports.

The patch deals a bit with world saves and save transfers on both versions. Both next-gen console ports are able to import world save files from their last-gen predecessors, though both processes had a few hiccups. This upcoming patch should fix those issues on both consoles.

The patch also adds a new "Copy Save" function, so players can back up their more precious world saves and maybe even store them elsewhere for safe keeping.

Here are the complete patch notes, which can be found over on Minecraft Forum:

- Fix for tile entities not being saved correctly in unloaded chunks. (Empty Chests, Spawners turning into Pig Spawners, etc.)
- Enable hiding mashup-pack worlds from the saves list, and re-enabling them all from the options menu.
- Change to 'disable saving' setting so that it remains set for a specific save when reloading that save.
- Fix for Glass Blocks placed next to each other rendering incorrectly.
