NYCC is upon us in but a few scant days. Hotels are overcrowded, your costume is just about done, and you have badged polished. Now...how the hell do you get there?
Daredevil's All Up In The NYCC This Year
Well, getting to the west side is your own problem (ACE to 34th then hoof it), but getting back? The answer is a little...crazy. SEGA and Hailo, an e-hail company, are partnering together to shuttle folks back to where they will be from. For two days, Crazy Taxi City Rush will come alive at the Javits Center.
The Crazy Taxi City Rush cab will be driving around Javits Center for NYCC on October 9th from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on the 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Attendees who download the free Hailo app will have the opportunity to ride in the Crazy Taxi City Rush cab for a free ride anywhere in Manhattan south of 100th St. Because it's the 1970s all over again.
Lego Batman 3 Will Also Be All Up In NYCC
"The Crazy Taxi brand is fast, fun, and energetic. (note: two out of three things you don't want your cab to be) It's a great compliment to New York Comic-Con, which has a long-standing tradition of celebrating comics, games and pop culture," said Chris Olson, SVP of Sega Networks. "Thanks in large part to our collaboration with Hailo, we're able to give our fans a unique experience - bringing Crazy Taxi City Rush to life."
Just hail the car with your app, wait about an hour and voila, you're on your way. You can download the Hailo app for both iOS and Google Play. What trip to NYC is complete without a ride in a questionable looking taxi? None, I tell you, none.
We'll be at Comic Con from dawn til dusk, follow us here.
