Skylanders Trap Team hits tomorrow. You want it, your kids want it, and it's out for every console known to man. But where should you go to pick it up for exclusive goodies?
Skylanders Will Be At This Week's New York Comic Con
Walmart seems to be a good choice for hunters of the addictive little chunks of plastic, as they're offering an exclusive bundle that includes two mini figures that you won't get anywhere else. It's called the Mini "Buddy Pack" and will include Gill Grunt and a fully-playable Mini Gill Runt. It will retail for $14.96 and be available online as well.
This is the first of two such packs that the store will offer- the next Buddy Pack will hit on November 1st (in stores and online) and include Hog Wild Fryno and Small Fry. Both packs will come with two figures, two trading cards, and two sticker sheets with secret codes.

Along with that there will be an in-store event taking place on launch day, October 7. Here's how it will work - good luck fighting off the other parents for the goodies!
- First, customers download the Skylanders Collections Vault app from the iTunes App Store. The Skylanders Collection Vault lets fans explore all the different Skylanders and track their collection as well as share and compare their Skylanders collection with friends.
- Then, visit a local Walmart store and / or go to Walmart.com.
- Once they arrive at the store / on Walmart.com, customers will look for the “Meet the Minis’ icon on specific Skylanders Trap Team signage located in various departments throughout the store. (Hint – check out the video game and bakery aisles, to name a few).
- Once they find the signage, they can enter codes into the Skylanders Collection Vault app to unlock five minis and other exclusive content such as wallpaper, videos and images.
