The new boxed content will be available on November 14 for PC only. The "Game of the Year" edition comes in a high quality, printed "Book of Diamonds" Grimoire box, contains 5 exclusive art cards and includes 30 days of playtime, as well as a digital timecard for an additional 60 free days of adventure in the realms of Eorzea. Three months! More than enough time to get to the high end content of the game.

Additionally, all of the major updates: "A Realm Awoken", "Through the Maelstrom", "Defenders of Eorzea" and the upcoming "Dreams Of Ice" which takes the players to a frozen wasteland later this month, will be included.

It is a shockingly good time to be a Final Fantasy fan. FF XIV continues to reinvent and update itself with newer and better content. The lessons learned from the failure of its original incarnation have been legion. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is going to arrive in all its updated glory early next year (in approximately three months) and the much anticipated Final Fantasy XV will also be coming to consoles later in 2015. There is literally no time when you are unable to play a new FF title.

If you are not sure if FF XIV is for you, you can download the free trial via the official website. This version comes with 14 days free playtime and allows for character development until level 20.
