Plants vs. Zombies 2 Update Big Wave Beach Part 1 Released: Offers Surfing Zombies, Deep Sea Gargantuar, Return Of Chomper [NEW VIDEO]

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Goes Surfing With The Latest Free Update

It may be Fall, but the zombies are taking to the beach. PopCap has just released the Big Wave Beach Part 1 update for Plants vs. Zombies 2, which offers (for free!) 16 new levels, six new zombies, and four new plants, including the return of Chomper.

That's right, the fan-favorite purple plant from the original game has somehow not entered the fray yet, but he's here now and ready to chow down on some zombies in their swimsuits.

The biggest change this update will offer is an ever-changing tide. Since you're on the beach the water will flow in and out- when it's high tide more of the plants will be underwater, forcing them on top of lily pads. Surfing zombies will swarm at those moments. Thankfully you have the return of the Tangle Kelp, which can pull the zombies under water.

The six new zombies will include the Bikini Zombie, the Pompadour Zombie, the Snorkel Zombie, Deep Sea Gargantaur, and the Mermaid Imp.

The Big Wave Beach update for Plants vs. Zombies 2 is available now. It's still arguably the best free-to-play game yet made, and it's available on the App Store and Google Play.
