Evolve Trailer Hints At New Monster And Introduces A Savage Skin For The Goliath, Preorder For Alpha Testing At End Of The Month [VIDEO]

A New Monster Is Teased And An Old Foe Gets A Savage Update In Latest Evolve Trailer

Turtle Rock Studios released a new trailer for their upcoming co-op shooter Evolve. Fans of giant monsters should take note: it's a very, very big monster indeed.

Project CARS Gets Stuck In Traffic Until 2015

The Savage Goliath is the newest skin for the Goliath monster, one of the two released monsters that you can hunt in the game. Of course, you can also assume control of the monster and rain hell down on your friends. Which is just far more satisfying.

Bully to anyone who even thinks of going up against that thing. I'm glad this is just a video game, because that is a very angry, fire-breathing beastie and is probably best left alone.

The trailer hints that there will be a new monster character revealed in the near future, probably around the time of the Alpha demo at the end of the month. Currently, the Kraken and the Goliath are the only monstrosities you can feel tiny next to. What might the folks over at Turtle Rock have in mind? What horrors may lurk in their hearts?

You can pre-order Evolve and get in on the Alpha test, which runs from October 31 to November 2 for the Xbox One, PC and PS4. Players will receive the download code for the new monster as soon as it is made available.

Evolve is certainly looking like a hell of a lot of fun. The gameplay is like Left 4 Dead, but with nothing but boss monsters. A team of players have to work together to take down a ferocious, hopefully misunderstood monster in what is akin to co-op sci-fi Shadow of the Colossus. The game hits February 10, 2015.
