Last-gen fans, your faith has been rewarded. In what is surely a reverse of the trend, 2K Games has released WWE 2K15 for Xbox 360 and PS3 systems today before PS4 and Xbox One gamers, who will just have to content themselves with their shiny new fanciness.

"WWE 2K15 offers the most compelling WWE video game to date for the PS3 and Xbox 360," said Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts. "With major gameplay enhancements, improved commentary, an impressive roster and an exclusive Who Got NXT experience, we're excited to bring our fans this fully-featured WWE 2K15 release."

Fully featured it is. The roster of playable characters stands at over 50 from all over the WWE franchise. The Who Got NXT mode gets players up close and personal with NXT members such as Rusev, Bo Dallas, Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Corey Graves, and experience unique matches inspired by historic moments and classic rivalries. Completing each NXT Superstar's matches will unlock those Superstars for use in other in-game modes, including Exhibition, WWE Universe and Creation Suite.

Players who finish the mode with all five NXT Superstars will unlock a special challenge against Mr. Make-A-Wish himself, John Cena.

The game is offering a more cinematic experience. The developers went back to the drawing board and have essentially remade the game from the ground up, massively upping the number of mo cap moves by a factor of six, focusing on the pacing of each match and creating a more unique move-set for every character.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler, alongside the voice of WWE, Michael Cole, call the action through a new commentary system delivering six times more content versus previous franchise releases.

There is also the single player campaign 2K Showcase, which lets players recreate the early era rivalry between Triple H and Shawn Michaels from 2002 to 2004, as well as John Cena and CM Punk's rivalry spanning 2011 to 2013.

In addition, the Creation Suite offers customizable Superstars, Divas, move sets and entrances, while WWE Universe provides opportunities to manage storylines, schedules, rivalries and alliances.

The Xbox One and PS4 versions launch on November 18.
