Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App: Clan Wars Let You Earn In-Game Loot While Away From Your Console

The Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App Lets You Earn In-Game Loot While Away From Your Console

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare officially launched today, though the whole Day Zero campaign has had people playing since midnight Monday morning. No matter when you started playing, though, you still have equal access to the game's mobile companion app, the handy app that lets you contribute to your CoD career even when you're nowhere near your console.

Advanced Warfare's Next-Gen Console Versions Are Having Some Freezing Problems With Pre-Loads

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App is now available as a free download for Android and iOS devices. It consists of three main components. The first is Clan Wars, a game where you can team up with your friends (the clan part) and fight other groups for control (the war part) over the in-app map. Winning clans are treated to in-game loot that you can don in the console game's multiplayer modes.

The app's War Room is an extension of the Clan Wars. This room lets you and your buddies manage your clan in between battles.

The Wolf Among Us Goes Next-Gen Today

Finally, the companion app includes an Emblem Editor, which allows you to create and refine the emblems you use both in Clan Wars and in Advanced Warfare multiplayer. If you find yourself out and about with some time to kill, you can fire up the app and fiddle with your emblem. Your new creation will be waiting for you when you next fire up your console game.

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App is available off iTunes and Google Play. iOS users need to make sure they're running at least iOS 7. Android users just need to make sure they have at least the 2.3.3 operating system installed.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
