The Sims 4 Pools Update Is Live Alongside Bug And Performance Fixes, Drown Your Sims To Your Heart's Content Now

The Sims 4 Pools Added In November Update, Go Drown Your Sims To Your Heart's Content Now

The November patch for The Sims 4 has gone live today, adding a long-awaited feature that many felt should have been included in the game from launch: pools.

That's right, Sims fans--you can finally send your lovable characters out for a swim in their own yard with customizable pools. For many of the more sadistic players out there, that will probably also mean sending your Sims to their deaths.

EA posted the full patch notes on its website, explaining how pools work and outlining the other fixes and additions the 1.2.16.10 patch brings.

Here are some notes about how the pools work, and even te developers know you'll probably drown some Sims:

- Build out your pool in Build Mode by clicking on the Build tab, and the Pools image in the home portrait. You can place pre-fashioned pool blocks (triangle, square, diagonal, or octagon), or you can use the Pool Tool to draw your own pool.

- Pools can be built on any floor of your home or venue. Decorate and enhance your pool with pools lights, install a ladder, customize the wall and floor textures to your liking then plop down some decals or add some windows for that aquarium'esque experience!

- Be wary of the hungry and fatigued, a moment too long in the pool has been known to cause a lack of living. The Reaper will gladly accept your pleas, though he may not always oblige them.

In addition, general performance has been improved across the board, which means the game should run more smoothly. Some save bugs, graphics issues, and crashes have also been addressed-you can see the full details at the link above.
