Hyrule Warriors Link Amiibo Adds The Spinner From Twilight Princess, New Figure Grants Special Access To In-Game Weapon [VIDEO]

Pick Up The Link Amiibo And Get Access To The Twighlight Princess Spinner In Hyrule Warriors

Hyrule Warriors, the Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mash up, has been a big success for the Wii U this year. Nintendo is committed to providing more content for the endless hack 'n' slash title in the form of new DLC and it was even announced recently that the game will be boasting amiibo support.

Nintendo + Loot Crate = amiibos Everywhere

Nintendo and Tecmo have also released a new trailer for one of the upcoming weapons: the Spinner! First seen in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii, the spinner has a sort of love/hate relationship with fans. Obviously, it's very cool (how could it not be?), but its uses were limited mainly to a single dungeon.

The Spinner's use in Hyrule Warriors, however, has been greatly expanded. As seen in the video below, it can help you up certain obstacles, but it can also kick a little butt, too. It just looks like a hell of a lot of fun. You can make copies of the Spinner, because of course you can, and send them hurtling towards your very unsuspecting enemies.

The item will come as an added incentive for the Link amiibo. The figure itself is the first of 10 collectibles releasing on November 21 and will allow you to import unique statistics, that is your very own version of a character, into various compatible games. They also look pretty cool on your wall.

Hyrule Warriors is out now for Wii U. Watch the trailer below and get spinning.
