Grand Theft Auto 5 Online Heists Are Coming 'Very Soon', Will Follow The Game's Release On PS4 And Xbox One

Rockstar has announced that multiplayer heists are finally coming to GTA Online, a long-awaited feature that has been discussed since the game's launch.

Preview Of The New GTA 5 For PS4 And Xbox One, Tite Update On The Way

With the release of an upgraded Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One drawing close, the developer promises the online heists are not far behind. Yesterday the team previewed the launch of the new version and announced that a title update will be available this Monday.

That update does not appear to be the patch that includes online heists, but the feature is coming "very soon" on all consoles (it will be the first update after the release of the new games). Here's the brief preview on Rockstar's site:

"We know you're all excited for more updates to come and we've got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding and evolving the world of Grand Theft Auto Online - including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One. We'll have some details on that very soon as well."

More than 33.8 million players have used the mode across the globe, playing more than 2.3 billion hours in total in 224 different countries. Players have created almost 10 million in-game jobs, and played nearly 6 billion of them. You can view the rest of the stats in the infographic below. Grand Theft Auto V is set to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18.
