GTA Online PS4 And Xbox One Transfers From Last Gen Not Working For Players Who Didn't Log In During 2014

Rockstar Games is investigating an issue preventing players from transferring Grand Theft Auto V profiles from PS3 and Xbox 360 to the new PS4 and Xbox One versions.

According to the Rockstar Support site, the issue is occurring for players who did not log in to their account during 2013. Those who didn't use the service during 2014 are getting a "no previous Grand theft Auto Online data is associated with your Social Club account" error, which Rockstar says it's looking into.

If you're experiencing the issue and are seeking help, Rockstar is offering the following support to those in need:

"We are looking into an issue preventing character transfer and GTA Online login on accounts that haven't played GTA Online since 2013. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your patience."

The new versions of Grand Theft Auto V are supposed to allow easy migration from last generation systems, bridging the gap without sacrificing progress. The PS4 and Xbox One editions offer upgraded visuals, as well as the debut of a first-person mode. The PC version is set to launch in January.
