Destiny The Dark Below DLC Video: Bungie Previews The Game's First Expansion, Shows Off New Character And Raid

Bungie has released a new preview video for upcoming Destiny expansion The Dark Below, which is set to release on December 9.

Telltale's Game Of Thrones Title Will Be Coming Next Month

The development diary-style video shows off the new content, focusing on the central character Eris Morn. She's a Guardian who attempted to defeat Crota in the past, and has been in hiding since her failure. Now, she's providing The Dark Below's quests and will serve as a vendor on The Tower.

Eris was presumably the narrator of the recently released intro cinematic (first leaked, now officially available), and we get a very good look at her in the new video. She'll be integral to the new content, both story and gameplay wise as she links the new narrative to your in-game questing.

The video also briefly shows off the new Crota's End Raid, Destiny's second. The developers begin creating a Raid based on a theme, which in Crota's End's case was the idea of a one way trip. The DLC is also bringing new Crucible maps, which are detailed in the video. Pantheon, Skyshock, and The Cauldron will be playable arenas, the first of which is the game's first truly symmetrical map (set against the very cool Black Garden backdrop).

There's also a short look at some of the new weapons--all of this content is available to those who purchase (or already purchased) the Expansion Pass for $34.99, or buy The Dark Below separately for $19.99.
