Don't You Wish You Waited? Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin Comes To Next Gen, With All DLC Packs, In April

To the patient goes the spoils. Those of you who have held off on purchasing Dark Souls II, and its three additional DLC packs, should hold off a little while longer. Bandai Namco has announced a full compilation titled Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, set for release next April.

Tales From The Borderlands Episode 1 Review: The Most Thrilling Telltale Adventure Yet?

The package will include the entire original game and the Lost Crown trilogy DLC. The game will also "add a large scale patch update (version 1.1.0), brand new game content including an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements." The game is also making its next gen debut! PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC owners with DirectX11 capable rigs will also be seeing improved graphics as well as several additional "exclusive enhancements."

It is a truth universally acknowledged that you should wait. Companies love DLC, for sure, but they love re-releasing games with all the DLC even more.

Batman: Arkham Knight First Gameplay Is Awesome

Dark Souls II launched this March to rave reviews, including ours. The additional DLC packs gave fresh life to the title and extended its life far beyond the bounds of its story. The new re-release will keep the good and difficult times rolling.

"Thanks to its improved gameplay mechanics, gorgeous next-gen graphics, and new unknown dangers and lore; Scholar of the First Sin takes the meaning of its "Game of the Year" award from the Golden Joysticks Ceremony to a whole new level!" Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy, Marketing & PR at Bandai Nacmo Games Europe.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be out here in North America on April 7 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.

Brace yourselves, it's going to hurt so good.
