The calendar reads December 1, but it sure feels a lot like Christmas. Today, Warner Bros announced that two new DLC packs will be coming for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in 2015. Even more, one of those packs will be entirely free.

Free DLC. The mind reels. The new packs will be available for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game (sorry, Wii U owners). The first DLC, titled the Bizarro World Pack, players will have to save Bizarro's bizarre world from the forces of evil and join up with the Bizarro League (the wacky version of the Justice League).
The pack will be available as part of the season pass.

The second pack, which will be free for all users is the Heroines and Villainesses pack. From the press release, "Celebrate the fearless females of DC Comics with this collection of super heroines and villainesses, which allows players to wreak havoc as Raven and tear-up the ground as Terra. The pack also includes fan-favourites, such as alien princess Starfire and animal-mimic Vixen but they'll need to be on the guard against the explosive Plastique and cold and calculating Killer Frost." Probably won't be seeing a lot of these characters in the upcoming slate of DC movies.
Additionally, WB revealed some new playable characters in the upcoming Arrow DLC. "Explore Starling City and interact with new characters, including Slade Wilson (in jail), Roy Harper (soooooo useless), Malcolm Merlyn and more."
No date has been set for the release of either pack beyond 2015.
Players can purchase the Season Pass and gain access to the Man of Steel, Dark Knight, Arrow and more packs for $14.99. Each individual piece of DLC is available for $2.99.
There is still no word on an all Booster Gold DLC pack. My letters remain unanswered.
