Frozen Sequel: Idina Menzel Confirms Frozen 2 in the Works, Disney Not Ready To Let It Go [VIDEO]
Frozen took over the world and encouraged us all to just "Let it Go" but Disney is doing anything but that with their mega blockbuster. In an interview with The Telegraph, Idina Menzel, the singer of the ultra-earworm "Let it Go" from the movie, revealed that a sequel is in the works for the film.
This should come as zero surprise for anyone who is at least passingly familiar with Disney franchises. Most films have at least one if not more sequels (but the only good one is the Aladdin Trilogy. Return of Jafar was the truth). This announcement is not to be confused with the six-minute short that will be running in theaters in the spring of 2015. No word on which feature film it will be running with but the live action Cinderella releases in March of that year so it's more than likely that will be the winner.
Frozen fans will have to wait to get their fix of the famous Ice Queen and her little sister, Anna. Director Jennifer Lee is currently all tied up with the making of a Disney adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time and won't be able to come on board for the frosty project until at least that is all wrapped. You'll have to get your Elsa fix through Once Upon a Time, as the character has been added to the fantasy inspired show's line up. She debuted in the current season much to fans' delight along with her sister, the less magical Anna.
