Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Launches On PS3 Today; Game Remasters Three Previous Entries In Beloved RPG Franchise

The weather has taken a turn for the cold and bitter, but Square Enix is here to keep you warm during the long cold evenings this winter. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is out now for PS3.

The long awaited title is a fully remastered version of two previous entries in the Disney/Square Enix crossover Kingdom Hearts series: Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix from the PS2 and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix which came out on the little loved PSP. The game also features the cut scenes from the Nintendo DS title Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.

The title picks up after the events of the previous remastered game, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX. Continue the epic adventure as Sora, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other notable Disney and Square Enix characters. The game features 100 characters from across the universe, from Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean to the enigmatic Auron from Final Fantasy X. It's like all your unpublished fan fiction come to life in HD glory.

Additionally, "the new compilation allows players to re-experience Sora's journey from the beginning. In addition, the game features a talented all-star voice cast, including Haley Joel Osment (Sora), David Gallagher (Riku), Quinton Flynn (Axel), Leonard Nimoy (Master Xehanort) and Jesse McCartney (Roxas)."

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is out now for the suggested retail price of $39.99. It is excusively for the PS3. The anticipated Kingdom Hearts III, which has been teased previously, should now be front and center for the company.
