Blizzard has formally announced the release date of Goblins vs Gnomes, the second expansion to their popular CCG, Hearthstone.

Since its debut at Blizzcon last month, Blizzard has been saying that the expansion will hit "sometime in December." That time is next week, on Monday, December 8. The update will go live on all PC, Mac and iPad versions of the game in America. Europe, Taiwan and China players will receive the expansion on December 9.
Goblins vs Gnomes will add 120 new cards, heavily featuring well, goblins and gnomes, the pint-sized tinkerers of the Warcraft universe. Several new game mechanics are being introduced, with a new emphasis on randomness, plus new card effects like Spare Parts, Mechs (a new minion type) and more.

According to the official press release, "Goblins vs Gnomes cards can be purchased as packs, crafted with dust, or earned in the Arena. Goblins vs Gnomes card packs will work just like the classic card packs you already know, but they'll have an explosive new wrapper, and contain all new cards!"
Recently, Blizzard has been letting players vote on several preview cards for the expansion. We've been highlighting the cards as they have been revealed. Check out some of the cards coming to you next week:
