Marvel’s 'AKA Jessica Jones': Breaking Bad Actress Krysten Ritter Cast As Lead In Netflix Super Hero Show

Krysten Ritter AKA Jessica Jones

Marvel is making moves all over the place. They have the movies and TV both pretty much locked down and now they're adding Netflix to their list of domination with Marvel's A.K.A Jessica Jones, a 13 episode exclusive Netflix series debuting in 2015.

The Walking Dead Spinoff Casts Lead Role

That title is incredibly unwieldy, it's ok to say that. The actress cast for the title role is Krysten Ritter, Marvel released. Fans may recognize her from her stint on TV in Don't Trust the B---- in Apt 23 (spoiler, they all become friends because this is a sitcom) and the drastically different Breaking Bad  (spoiler, you will cry).

Jessica Jones was originally a character from Alias (not to be confused with the television show of the same name) and then she was a substitute in the Avengers for a while. She has had a long and involved history with superheroes but despite her powers she decided to give up the mantle of hero and become a private detective. Of course, she can't quite escape the lifestyle.

Mark Hamill to Appear as Trickster in Upcoming Flash Episode

The Netflix show centers on this change, from super hero to civilian, where Jones works cases involving supers in New York. After all, who better to track a hero than an ex-hero? It's like hiring an ex-cop to track police. It's a perfect plan.

Marvel's A.K.A Jessica Jones will premiere after Marvel's Daredevil, another show produced for Netflix. It will be followed by Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and finally a group miniseries uniting all the characters, Defenders. All of them will be on Netflix.
