Players can pick up the expansion for $19.99. Shadow of Revan adds five new levels of story-based gameplay centered around the enigmatic hero and traitor to the Jedi council named Revan.

“Revan’s storyline is filled with the intense cinematic action and BioWare storytelling that fans have come to expect from Star Wars: The Old Republic,” said Jeff Hickman, General Manager of BioWare Austin. “With Shadow of Revan, we’re delivering our most ambitious story-driven expansion yet.”

The Dark Below Has Seen The Light! Destiny Expansion Now Available

In addition to the operatic storytelling we’ve come to expect from Star Wars and Bioware, the expansion also increases the level cap by five to 60, and opening up new tiers of abilities and skills for all the high-level knights out there.

Two worlds, Rishi, a dangerous pirate haven and Yavin 4 (the location of the Rebel base in the original Star Wars movie) have been added as new explorable areas. Meet the Massassi, the creators of the giant buildings that housed rebellion squad that would destroy the Death Star in approximately one thousand years.

New gear and customizations are also available, including some fun and ancient ‘Revanite’ costumes that are sure to look good in the Star Wars equivalent of Throwback Thursday.

Players are also welcome to further customize their heroes and villains via “a set of new Disciplines.” Are you a run in, lightsaber swinging type of guy? Or do you prefer a more subtle approach to combat and life in general? Now you can tailor your character to your particular playstyle.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is available as a free to play title HERE. You can start playing here. After all, it’s a long wait until Episode VII next December. Watch the launch trailer below
