The Games Workshop adaptation recently hit Steam and has been well received from fans of the series. Rogue Factor, the company behind the turn-based strategy game’s development is slowly but steadily adding content, ensuring that what’s ready is ready and not requiring further patching.

The update adds the Sisters of Sigmar, the third Warband the be implemented into the game. The Sisters are a strong magic and melee sect of priestesses who were banished from their greater order. Now they venture into Mordheim to cleanse the city of evil. “Their skills include 'Healing Circle', an AOE healing spell. 'Comet of Sigmar', a magical attack that bypasses armour. And finally "Blessing of Speed", which increases movement of its target by 1 meter, and increases climb, leap, and jump-down checks by 10%.”

New armor and weapon customizations have been added. Players may now change the stats on various armor pieces, though Rogue Factor warns that this is merely a statistical upgrade. Visual customization of armor pieces will come during a later patch. Weapons, however, receive both statistical and visual upgrades as you tinker with them.

The new Warcamp feature, which will be updated incrementally, allows players to better manage their various warband factions and deploy them with greater ease onto the battlefield.

Mordheim: City of the Damned is available via Steam Early Access now. The first content update will hit tomorrow, Thursday December 11.
