If the calendar reads Thursday, that can mean only one thing: it’s time for the Nintendo eShop and Virtual Console weekly update!

The Top 10 Games Of The Year: The Filthy Casual Mobile And Nintendo Edition

While all three of the big companies has exhausted their supply of major AAA games last month, there are still a few gems to be found on the Wii U and 3DS.

First and foremost, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is now out for Nintendo 3DS. Our very own Alex Riviello finds no objections to these three remastered games and thinks the collection is a definite must have for any 3DS owner. Join rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright through the early years of his career in his quest to find the truth behind all of the classic cases! Available now for $29.99.

Humble Bundle Winter Sale Will Remove You From Your Wallet Every Day This December

Also out for the 3DS is Xeodrifter, a retro tale of an intergalactic loner “as he embarks on the investigation of a small cluster of four planets in the omega sector, after a collision with a rogue asteroid damaged his warp core.” A simple 16 bit platformer should fill a hole of nostalgia in gamers. Out today for $9.99.

The beloved cult classic Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition (or Out of This World, if that's your thing) is on sale for 50% for both Wii U and 3DS versions until December 22. The action platformer has gotten an HD makeover complete with new sound and graphics from the original designers.

By now, all of you have Super Smash Bros on some system. Well, this week, join the fans in the Super Smash Bros. community on Miiverse by posting a snapshot from the game based on the theme “Eat!” After the challenge ends on Dec. 16, Mr. Sakurai and the game’s developers will select and announce a handful of their favorite images.

The week’s big Virtual Console titles are Harvest Moon 3 GBC, the 2001 title for the Game Boy Color. Grow vegetables, tend to livestock, head down to the river and fish. It’s Harvest Moon, it is what is. And now it’s on 3DS for $4.99.

The Wii U Virtual Console, meanwhile, is getting Crash 'n the Boys Street Challenge. Chances are that when you were growing up, sports weren’t your thing. Well, now you can participate in all those track and field events that made kids popular without having to, you know, participate in all those track and field events. “Power through the 400-meter Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Swimming, Rooftop Jumping and Judo. Can you lead your high school to the top of the Street Challenge?” Well, can you? Available now for $4.99.

Also out this week are…

Lucadian Chronicles - an immersive CCG and RPG mashup for the Wii U. The price says $0.00, so maybe just try and grab that before they realize the error of their ways.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon Stealth Force Edition - the Autobots and Decepticons are at it again in this driving action title, now on the 3DS for $39.99
Hazumi - a game of blocks and the lengths you will go to crush said blocks. $3.99 for the 3DS.

That’s all for now. See you next week for the last minute Christmas extravaganza.
