The Sega Nostalgia Bomb To Hit Hard with Golden Axe, Monster World and Revenge of Shinobi

If you know what a Sega Mega Drive is and how it's different from a Genesis, you're in luck with some of the Arcade releases on Xbox and Playstation.

Starting tomorrow, you'll be able to get a "Monster World" bundle comrprised of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World and Monster World IV. While the exact order is a bit of a stretch--"Wonder Boy in Monster World" is technically the fifth Wonder Boy, but third set in that world--the game's an infectuous treat for RPG fans that like to hack and slash at monsters before inevitably dying and having to start all over again from the last save point. It owed more to leveling up and finding specific quest items to soldier on than barrleing forward like a tank.

But if you want to just progress in a series of escalating bouts of button mashing, "The Revenge of Shinobi" comes out tomorrow bundled with "Alex Kidd and Company" and motorcycle racer "Super Hang-On." But after Memorial Day comes next Tuesday's release of a "Golden Axe" bundle featuring the first three 16-bit attempts at being a wandering swordsman battling atop vaguely bird-like lizard creatures. There's also long-time fan favorite, "Streets Of Rage," bundled with the two sequels.

All titles sold individually on the Playstation Network for $4.99 except for "Golden Axe" or "Streets of Rage," which are XBox Exclusives. Everything else on XBox is part of a 3-in-1 bundle going for 800 Microsoft points.
