The weekend has arrived, meaning mysterious Destiny merchant Xur is back, as well. The vendor is the only one in the game to sell exotic weapons, and every week is different than the last.

Xur is always in a new location from one week to the next, and his stock differs every time. He appears on Friday and departs (usually early) on Sunday, offering one exotic armor item for each class, an exotic weapon, and an exotic engram to gamble on. Xur is currently located in Tower North this week, in front of the entrance to where the Speaker stands.
Titans can purchase brand new The Dark Below gauntlets, Ruin Wings, while Warlocks are also offered expansion gear, the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets. Hunters are left in the vanilla game this week, with Xur selling the Knucklehead Radar helmet. As always, each of these costs 13 Strange Coins.

The weapon this week is the excellent Patience And Time sniper rifle, which cloaks you when aiming down the sights and still displays the radar when zoomed. The weapon costs 17 Strange Coins, and you can also purchase an Exotic Shard (1 coin) or an Exotic Helmet Engram for 23 Motes of Light.
Now that we're post-expansion, Xur has a selection of items to upgrade in addition to his normal wares--the new list you see in his inventory is not simply gear for sale. You need the original weapon or armor piece to trade in for an upgrade, an Exotic Shard, and some Glimmer--this is meant to keep original exotics relevant and up to par with the new gear.
This week you can upgrade the Crest of Alpha Lupi for Titans and Hunters, the Lucky Raspberry, No Backup Plans, Heart of the Praxic Fire, and Sunbreakers. As for weapons, you can upgrade the Mida Multi-Tool, Thorn, Universal Remote, Plan C, Super Good Advice, Truth, and Monte Carlo.
