The trailer for Orphan Black season 3 has been released showing the girls gearing up for something big. It features new clones and even a set of male clones. They synopsis has also been released giving a bit more detail about the scenes seen in the trailer.
New Orphan Black Teaser Trailer Released
Breathe Cast shared the short synopsis with fans, which gives the events some perspective. "Season three plunges the clone sisterhood into unexpected territory with the realization that they're not alone. Just when they thought they knew their enemies and allies, season three reveals our clones are more vulnerable than ever before," the synopsis reads.
At the end of last season, it was revealed that there was a secondary clone project, using males and run by the military. In a separate interview with John Fawcett, it is revealed that, "At the moment, it seems that the Project Leda, that created female clones, and the Project Castor that created male clones are competing projects with no idea about one another. Paul has infiltrated Leda, so now Castor knows much more about Leda than Leda does about Castor."
New Teaser for Salem Released, Witch War is Coming
The idea that two clone projects existed and knew nothing about one another seems a little ridiculous but in a world as wrapped up in mystery and intrigue as Orphan Black, it's entirely possible that they somehow managed to fly completely under each other's radar. Regardless, it seems like this season they'll be meeting head to head, one way or another.
