The End of the World Zombie Apocalypse Released: New RPG Makes Player Play As Themselves
It's the end of the year. As one year ends and we await the next, it's the perfect time to wonder about whether this will be the year that it all comes crashing down. Will this be the year the world ends? I don't know but you can test how you'll fare in The End of the World: Zombie Apocalypse.
This is the first book in a series that examines unique ways that the world may eventually end. This one focuses on the dead rising for various reasons. The scenarios it gives range from science-based to voodoo magic.
Unlike other games of this nature, this one wants you to be yourself. You don't roll up some macho badass to fight off zombies, you are whoever you are. So unless you're actually a macho badass, chances are you aren't really equipped with all the skills you need to survive end of days.
As for equipment, that's also based on whatever you have handy. If you're a prepper, congratulations, you're ready survive (this game) but if not, chances are, you'll have to leave your house to survive which is where the real game starts.
The game is divided into two parts. Apocalypse and post-apocalypse. If you manage to live through the first round of zombie outbreak, you'll be able to try and make your way in the long days ahead.
The game is currently available through Fantasy Flight Games. This is the first book in a series of rule books called The End of the World where players are tasked to survive different end of the world scenarios.
