PSN Flash And Holiday Sales Extended Due To Outage: Grab Great Deals On Games, TV Shows, And Movies Before They Go

The PSN and Xbox Live outages caused a variety of issues for specific games, in addition to the general problem that people were unable to play through the Christmas period. Rockstar extended its gift-giving, Bungie left Xur on the Tower longer then usual, and now Sony is continuing its PSN sales beyond the originally planned date.

The outage prevented console owners from taking advantage of many of PSN's Flash Sale, which offered a wide variety of titles on discount, and was meant to end yesterday. Sony announced it will instead run until 12 p.m. on December 31. Its Holiday Sale will continue all the way through January 6.

The Flash Sale includes titles like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Destiny, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and many others. The useful chart shows exactly how much you'll be saving, so head over to the blog post linked above with all of the deals. These apply to both PS3 and PS4.

The Holiday Sale also offers a range of discounted games, with titles that are perhaps a little older or more obscure in some cases. It's not just games in this deal, though--there's a slew of movies and TV shows on sale, including entire seasons of Arrow, Sons of Anarchy, and Family Guy. The movies can be purchased in SD or HD, and range from Grand Budapest Hotel to 21 Jump Street to Pacific Rim.
