The Puppet Master Comic: Classic Horror Movie Franchise Is Getting A New Comic Series [VIDEO]

The Puppet Master Is Back, This Time in Funny Pages

The Puppet Master has had a very long run in movies and now will be coming to the printed page in a new comic series from Action Lab Entertainment.

Freddy Vs Jason 2 May Still Be In The Picture

The new comic series will pick up where the movies last left off. In the comic storyline, the puppets are looking for a way out of their wooden enslavement to the puppet master.

Comic Book Resources reports that the new comic series will in many ways take the form of the classic movie series. The comics find the puppets in an abandoned hotel which a group of partying young people make their party spot only to find out that they should have listened to the stories and stayed away.

Although the comics follow the movies, the storyline will be accessible to new readers who have never watched the films before. Honestly though, the basic premise of the films is that they're puppets. Puppets who kill people.

For those unfamiliar with the movie franchise, it includes ten films. There are a variety of puppets, each imbued with the soul of a human. They have their own personalities and way of handling things.

Over the course of the ten films, the puppets have changed from killing machines to almost but not quite heroes that are still killing machines. It's a horror franchise after all. The comic series will be focusing on the main 8 or more popular puppets including Pinhead and Blade, who is perhaps, the most well-known.

The new series is written by Shawn Gabborin with art by Michala Da Sacco.
