House of Cards Season 3 Spoilers: Frank Falls From Grace, Claire In Crosshairs [VIDEO]

Frank Has Nowhere To Go But Down In Season 3 of House Of Cards

Season 3 of House of Cards will show the return of Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) in the position of President of the United States, which is where we left him. The question is, how will he top that? There's only one direction left to go at that point, down, and it seems that Underwood may be headed that way.

House of Cards Has A New Villain For Frank To Face Off Against In Season 3

Through seasons 1 and 2, Underwood has managed to outwit and outmaneuver every person that has tried to stand in his way. According to Latin Post, the third season of the hit drama may see the President lose his grip on the power he's accumulated and finally fall from grace.

These theories don't come from nowhere, House of Cards is based on the British drama by the same name. In the third season of that version, Francis Urguhart (Ian Richardson) loses his power and position in the series at the close.

It's not unlikely that we'll see the same sort of story arc play out on this coming season. The character of Anto Ivonovich will be instrumental in bringing about Frank's possible downfall.

This season will also show us more of Frank and his wife Claire's (Robin Wright) relationship. His underhanded choices will finally be catching up with him and Claire won't be able to stay out of the spotlight.

The rock solid relationship the two have (really, we should all aspire to have a relationship as strong). Claire will be pulled into his torrid affairs and whether or not the relationship will last Is one of the central questions of the season.

House of Cards returns to Netflix on February 27.
