There are going to be some Star Wars spin off movies. Good news for fans. Recently there have been rumors circulating that the first one will focus on Han Solo and Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul will be playing a role in it.

Unfortunately for fans (and presumably Paul), this is just a rumor. The star tweeted about the stories and let the world know that although he would likely love to play a role in the new film, he had not been given a part.

LucasFilms announced that it will be releasing three spinoff films starting in 2016 and then every two years until 2020.

The first of these films is rumored to center around fan favorites Han Solo and Bobba Fett, bounty hunter extraordinaire. The production of the film has been really tight lipped with only a few rumors to go on.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the first new Star Wars film since the prequels. The new film will see the return of the original cast in their original roles and take place at a point after the first movies.

The spinoff movie will be the first that the series has had in its history. Although there are quite a few other media materials spanning from TV shows to books, the films for the series have basically been the major cannon.

The new film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released December 18, 2015.
