Assassin's Creed Unity's DLC Dead Kings was delayed in order for the developers to focus on fixing launch issues, but the (now free) content has a new January 13 release date.

PS4 Sales Reach 18.5 Million Units As Of January 4

The main game did not launch in the smoothest fashion, with a multitude of bugs and glitches marring the experience. Ubisoft is still working on the title, but made the Dead Kings DLC free to apologize for the issues.

The release date is announced in a new trailer, which you can watch below. Although now changed to reflect the new date, Kotaku pointed out that the original description on the YouTube page stated a release of December 16. This may very well have been the originally expected date before delay, but nobody can say for sure.

Dead Kings is said to add around five hours of gameplay content, with new missions, the Guillotine gun, and a new area to explore. It will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 13.
