Smite is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) in a similar style to League of Legends and Dota 2. It features characters and settings based on mythology, and the key difference is a third-person camera that shows over-the-shoulder action. Similar to a model employed by Dota 2, funds for the prize pool were raised largely by a promotion called the Odyssey, which sells in-game items to players.
