New 3DS XL Release Date Announced, Nintendo Reveals Fantastic Majora's Mask And Monster Hunter Ultimate Limited Editions

Today's Nintendo Direct revealed plenty of new information about games and hardware, perhaps chief among them the announcement that the New Nintendo 3DS XL will be coming to America on February 13.

Wii Games Are Now Downloadable On Wii U

The hardware is launching in red and black models for $199.99, and comes with more processing power, a C-stick nub, advanced face tracking for improved 3D, and faster downloads.

Nintendo also revealed fantastic-looking special editions for Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, both of which will be available at launch. You can see images of the two below. The Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate bundle includes the game for $229.99, while the Majora's Mask edition will be $199.99 and does not include the game. It's availably exclusively through Gamestop.

Mario Party 10, Next Wave Of Amiibos Announced

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is launching April 2015, and will work exclusively on the new hardware. Amiibo support for Super Smash Bros for 3DS is being updated into the system in February--the new 3DS is NFC and Amiibo compatible. The XL version of the new hardware is, as far as has been announced, the only model that will be coming to the U.S. Japan has standard size and XL New 3DS options, but the larger unit is the only option for Americans.
