Sega's Virtua Fighter is a series of 3D competitive fighting games with basic gameplay involving two combatants needing to win two or three rounds. Sega released a video entitled, "Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Pre-Launch Event" and it reveals what you need to know about the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, including a lot of commentary.
Virtua Figher 5 Final Showdown features new character costumes and new animations. The game was officially released on April 20, 2011 at the Japanese arcades and was announced at Gamescom 2011 that Final Showdown would be coming to PlayStation 3 on June 5, 2012 and Xbox 360 on June 6, 2012. Both platforms will come complete with online play. The game will also be released in downloadable format.
