Nintendo At PAX South: New 3DS XL Will Be Playable At The Upcoming Event, Zelda Cosplayers Can Skip The Lines

New 3DS XL Will Be Playable At Nintendo's PAX South Booth, Zelda Cosplayers Can Skip The Lines

Nintendo today announced it will be giving fans a chance for hands-on time with the New Nintendo 3DS XL at PAX South.

The event, set to take place from January 3 to January 5, will be the first opportunity for public hands-on with the recently revealed handheld in North America. The device is set to launch on February 13 with special edition Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate bundles.

The new handheld will be available for play at Nintendo's PAX South booth (#1234) alongside a real replica of Majora's Mask and paper versions to wear around the convention. Dressing as a Legend of Zelda character will allow fans to bypass the lines and get priority hands-on time with Majora's Mask 3D, so cosplay away!

Aside from the two limited edition models, the New Nintendo 3DS XL will come in standard red and black colors for $199.99. The handheld boasts more processing power, a C-stick nub, advanced face tracking for improved 3D, and faster downloads. '=It doesn't ship with its own power cable, which irks fans who don't want to rely on past adapters to power their new device.

Majora's Mask 3D will launch aside the New 3DS XL, but will work on the original models, as will Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The Majora's Mask edition does not include the game and will retail for the base $199.99 price, while the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate bundle includes the game for $229.99.
