Final Fantasy XIV Free Login Weekend Event Starts This Friday

The latest update to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn dropped last week and players have been generally positive about it and have loved adventuring around in the new content. Today, Square Enix is inviting lapsed players to once again take up arms and join the fight in Before The Fall.

Hands On First Impressions Of Dying Light's Co-Op Mode

The powers that be at Square have announced that "Players who have previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV and whose service account is set as inactive" will be able to once again log into the game starting Friday, January 30 at 8 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time and will run until 8 a.m. GMT on Monday, February 2.

No additional purchase required, just dust off the old password and head to it.

Awaiting you will be whole new world of adventure. One new dungeon - The Keeper of the Lake - has been added, while two Amdapor Keep and The Wanderer's Palace have had a new Hard mode difficulty added for veteran players.

Half a dozen new main quests have been added to the growing saga of Eorzea, which will soon go north into the frozen wastes in the next expansion, Heavensward, due out this spring.
