This Week's Video Game Releases: Battlefield Hardline, Game Of Thrones And More

Now that the Superbowl is out of our collective system, we can resume our normal course and get back to what is really important: collecting video games we will never, ever play.

February 2015 Game Release Schedule

It's a time honored tradition, stretching back to at least last autumn when everyone thought it would be a good idea to release every single game each and every week.

So, the snow is getting worse out there. But spring will be here soon. What does Big (and little) Game have for us this week?

You Better Not Mess With Liam Neeson, Especially With His Clash Of Clans

Battlefield Hardline [BETA] - February 3 (Xbox One / Xbox 360 / PS4 / PS3 / PC) - cops and robbers gets a major (and some might say, very, very untimely) upgrade. Moral questions about the militarization of the modern police force aside, the open beta will undoubtedly feature all of the classic infantry and vehicular action you've come to expect from the Battlefield series.

Game Of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series, Episode II: The Lost Lords - week of February 3-5 ((PC / Xbox One / Xbox 360 / PS4 / PS3 / ios / Android) - fresh off the heels of the stellar trailer for season 5 of the HBO series, the second chapter of Telltale's bloody game of Westerosi politics continues almost immediately after the climactic events of the first. At this point, you're either in or you're out.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse - February 5 (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC) - the over the top fighting series, based on the beloved anime, finally gets its next gen debut. Check out our hands-on with the demo at NYCC, which impressed with its graphics and gameplay.

Hyrule Warriors Majora's Mask DLC - February 5 - (Wii U) - the latest content pack for Hyrule Warriors brings two new characters, a brand new adventure mode and three new costumes for various characters in the Wii U's million selling hack 'n' slash hit. It's a big Zelda month for Nintendo, with the updated Majora's Mask hitting 3DS next week as well.

Midnight Star - February 5 (Ios) - free up the space on your phones, the highly anticipated FPS from one of the co-creators of Bungie (featuring a story from the fabulous John Scalzi and music by Serj from System of a Down) is coming to the App Store.

Apotheon - February 3 (PS4 / PC) - here's an interesting little ditty, a 2D sidescroller done in the style of Greco-Roman art. Like something ripped out of a Dan Simmons novel, the PS4 and Steam title has you ascending Mount Olympus to find the gods that have abandoned you. Expect lots of blood and action in this mythologically-inspired tale.
