Deserted streets... Re-animated corpses... Untrustworthy strangers... and loaded guns ready to aim and fire; the upcoming third-person survival video game, The Last Of Us, will be bringing all of this to gamers and so much more.
Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us features the main characters of the game, Joel and 14-year-old Ellie who is wise beyond her years. The game starts in post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and gradually moves its way out of the city to other unannounced areas. The two are trying their best to get to not only get the bridge and out the city, but most importantly, staying alive. The player will be in control of Joel, while Ellie will be controlled by the AI.
The Last Of Us gameplay that was released during E3 2012, was simply amazing. According to Naughty Dog's blog, players will see what is called Balance of Power AI. "Enemies will react realistically to whatever situation your combat style forces them into. Playing as Joel, Ellie's help and whatever weapons you can scavenge are your best shot at progressing in this brutal, violent world."
With games like the classic Crash Bandicoot, or the renowned Uncharted series, gamers have already placed the developer on a high pedestal. We expect nothing but the best at this point and honestly, although there is still more to learn about this upcoming game, one thing is for certain... like the trailer, The Last Of Us is sure bound to impress.
The Last Of Us will be released on PlayStation 3 consoles in 2013.
