Destiny House Of Wolves Leak: Player Posts Details Of Upcoming Expansion Gear, Bungie Says The Items Will Change

The Vendor Weapons For Destiny's House of Wolves Expansion Have Leaked, Bungie Responds

We've known about Destiny's next expansion, House of Wolves, for a while now, but details had been sparce. A Reddit user found a way into the upcoming content, and showed off the new weapons that will be sold be vendors.

Our Guide To Destiny's Best Legendary And Exotic Auto Rifles

The leaker, megamanexe4, was able to access the purchasable weapons (not drop-only guns), and posted links to images of each. The player is Japanese and not a native English speaker, but a couple of users were able to help translate his intended message. He believes the content will be unlocked on May 19, and Bungie will release patch 1.0.9 in the next four weeks to prepare for the coming expansion.

House Of Wolves Will Try Not To Frustrate Veteran Players, Says Bungie

The pictures were convincing enough from the start, but if you had any doubts, Bungie Community Manager DeeJ commented on the leak and did not deny the claims. Before analyzing the weapon details and stats, know that DeeJ did warn that anything you see is subject to change, and the item attributes are outdated.

"I know that rampant speculation will burn for a while on this topic. As you enjoy a conversation about the pearls of information that can be lifted from this, please bear a few things in mind...

1. Aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves. That means that anything you know about it can change. We have a team working on the experience in their own fancy room, and they have some exciting surprises up their sleeves.

2. We reserve the right to overwrite anything you're looking at right now. These placeholder items enable us to save room on your drive for actual future updates. You'll all download them before it's time to play.

3. Any stats or assumptions about power or impact or handsomeness are months old, and do not reflect the things that we're doing to adapt to what you've taught us about Destiny. There is a process here, and you're a part of it."

All of that's fair, and DeeJ goes on to say that he toally understands the excitement of leaks. With that out of the way, we can shift to the leak itself, even if it will change. You can see all of the individual items (subject to change, remember!) over at the Reddit post--there are far too many to link here. The poster also mentions that he believes the rumored major expansion (presumably referring to the reportedly leaked Comet) will be coming in September.
