Players who woke up this morning and thought, 'You know what I need in my life? Yet another Warhammer game," will be pleased to know that their wish is fulfilled. Developer Fatshark has announced Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, the latest in the long line of Games Workshop video game adaptations.
Mordheim: City Of The Damned Enters Into Phase 3 Of Early Access
The forthcoming game, due out in the second half of 2015 on PC, Xbox One and PS4, will eschew the Warhammer series' turn-based strategy combat for a four player co-op first person shooter/melee action title. Players will choose from among five different hero classes and take to the caves and tunnels of Ubersreik, a city under siege by the rat-like Skaven.
I didn't catch most of that, but I understand the meaning: Stuff is about to go down, and hard.
No release date is set for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. However, to tide you over, why not try out one of the many, many (so many) other Warhammer titles available now across a wide range of devices?
Watch the Vermintide trailer below. Hope you don't mind rats.
