Star Wars: The Force Awakens will see the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and fans everywhere are excited. The famous actor? Not so much.

The actor sat down with Hero Complex and answered some questions about his coming role in the new films.

"I would have been completely OK with it not including us, but I do think having the original cast members there gives it a sense of continuity and scope," said Hamill. "But mind you, it's really about the new generation, it's not about us."

Basically, his stance on the matter is to chill out people, this is a new story. Also, it's a movie, so let's bring it down a few notches. Fan reaction has been through the roof.

"I'm telling you, it's just a movie. These people that build it up in their minds like it's going to be the second coming of, I don't know what - they're bound to be disappointed," Hamill went on to say.

Star Wars has a huge fan base and the star thinks that the frenzy surrounding the new film is a bit much in fans trying to steal peeks at filming. Hamill is worried that they'll ruin the experience for themselves more than anything.

It seems that for people hoping the new movie would follow what the old stars were doing more closely, they'll be disappointed. The new film, according to Hamill, will be about the new kids on the block, so to speak.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out in theaters December 18 of this year.
