Marvel Releasing New Princess Leia Star Wars Comic Book Mini-Series In March
Princess Leia is one of the most badass princesses in existence. She's not a damsel in distress, she's a damsel that needs a gun. The new comic from Marvel, Princess Leia follows the story of the iconic heroine.
The limited series follows Princess Leia in the time after Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It's the story of what she was doing after the Death Star was destroyed and she found herself without a planet. Not just the loss of her home city, but her entire planet.
"How does she really cope with losing her entire world once the events around that loss have calmed down somewhat? Does she choose to be a princess of nothing - or does she set out to rebuild her heritage and civilization?" writer Mark Waid remarked on the series.
The series will focus on Princess Leia as she becomes more than just a Princess. This is the story of what happens to her afterwards, when she has to make a way for herself. Is she still really a princess? Or is she something different, something more.
During the course of her personal journey, readers will be able to see her become one of the most respected leaders in the galaxy (far, far away).
The book is written by Mark Waid who previously worked on Daredevil. Terry Dodson of Uncanny X-Men is responsible for the art. There will also be five variant covers available.
Princess Leia #1 comes out on March 4.
