PewDiePie News: YouTuber Nominated For A Shorty Award
PewDiePie clearly has the most subscribers of any YouTtube channel in the history of the website but it looks like he'll get a chance to add another title after his name. The YouTube superstar is being nominated for Best YouTube Star of the Year for the 7th Annual Shorty Awards.
This particular award is presented by A&E and is meant to honor the best video producers on YouTube. It focuses on the members of YouTube that have shot to stardom for doing things that normal media just hadn't caught on to yet.
PewDiePie certainly meets that criteria. The man literally plays video games, not for walk throughs, not for reviews. Just to play.
The finalists are chosen by a combination of judges and the public. PewDiePie has 16 nominations for Best YouTube Star of the Year. He also has 37 nominations for the Gamer category as well as nominations in YouTube Comedian and Charity reported Empty Lighthouse Magazine.
He's all over the place there.
PewDiePie is a huge star on YouTube, most likely, the biggest. He is also known for being extremely charitable and pretty shy in real life despite his over the top gamer personality.
PewDiePie has a YouTube Channel with over 34 million subscribers and pulls in $4 million a year just for doing what he loves. Although his experience isn't exactly typical of the average YouTuber, he is likely what all channels strive to be.
You can watch PewDiePie on his channel, Let's Play, where he plays a wide variety of video games for the amusement of his bros.
