Halo Championship Series Season 1 Finals Live Stream: PAX East Event Underway As Top Teams Compete For $100,000

The Season 1 Finals of the Halo Championship Series are taking place this weekend at PAX East this weekend, bringing a close to a series of tournaments and offering a $100,000 prize pool.

Unlike the other events through the season, the finals are not open to any teams--only eight pro teams are competing. They were the top seeded teams via points earned through the season, and will get a chance to take the lion's share of the prize.

The full starting bracket can be seen below courtesy of Beyond Entertainment, with Noble Black and TGN Vibe set to compete in a wildcard game for the last spot before the tournament begins in earnest. That matchup is getting under way now--watch via the Twitch stream below.

Evil Geniuses enter the finals as the top seed, having just taken the spot from CLG (who held it all season) by winning the previous Gamers For Giving event. Noble has the 8th spot on pro points, but Vibe is given a chance to compete for it by virtue of becoming the E.U. champions. Here are the standings going into the finals:

2nd) Counter Logic Gaming - Heinz, OGRE2, Royal 2, Snakebite = 8,680
3rd) Denial eSports - Chig, Cloud, Mikwen, RyaNoob = 6,725
4th) OpTic Halo - Flamesword, Ace, Assault, Contra = 4.870

Team Vibe - Septic, Chalkie, Ramirez, BlackJack = EU Winners
