Bad news if you were awesome at flanking and cheating during NHL 12. The new Hockey IQ AI system in NHL 13 does away with every little cheat and exploit you could use to make the NY Rangers actually seem like a threatening team. The new IQ system revamps mainly defense and goalies, making your digital teammates more aware of practical attempts on the puck.
So no longer can you keep passing around into the netural zone like in 12, now the defense for the Coyotes might just swarm over you and actually be able to score for once. Ditto for the goalies, who are now aware of all possible angles and not just who's currently controlling the puck.
NHL 13 is out on September 14th for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3.
